Rent the Rockford Grange

Rockford Grange Hall is available to rent for all, with members and nonprofits receiving a discounted rate. We offer a venue that can host a variety of events at an affordable rate. If you’d like to host another type of event, please contact us to see if Rockford Grange Hall is the place for you. You can check our calendar to see if the date you’d like is available.

We rent in 2 hour and 4 hour segments, along with all day rentals.

Dances, weddings, quinceañeras, memorials, banquets, meetings, workshops and classes are just some of the events we book regularly.

  • We offer discounts to Grange members (become a member) along with non-profit organizations. 

    We are also developing a new community group scholarship program to help emerging groups through the first several months. Subscribe to our newsletter to hear about it first.

  • We host all types of ,meetings, workshops, classes, daytime or early evening celebrations, gatherings, film showings, daytime or early evening music and dancing, and more.

    The Grange is not suited for late night celebrations and events - we are under a 10 pm noise ordinance and will enforce it.

  • Our beautiful 110+ year old building has several areas to rent and holds up to 150 people comfortably. For parties up to 225, additional port-o-potties will be required to rent.

    • Parking Lot holds 33 cars, if parked efficiently. No parking is permitted on the paved area of the Westside Fire Station next door.

  • No Air Conditioning - We do have 3 ceiling fans and several other fans you may use; upstairs has east and west doors to open for cross-ventilation. Downstairs does well at staying cool in summer and has north and south doors that can be opened if needed.

    Winter renters will appreciate knowing that our building is fully heated.

  • Sadly, No. Our sceptic system is not designed to handle consistent food production.  If you know of a funding source to help us upgrade our sceptic system, we’re all ears!

    Private Events: Private events do not fall under health department oversight. 

    Public events (publicly advertised, free or tickets sold to the public) will need to secure temporary restaurant permit and food will all need to be prepared on site day of. 

    Food carts licensed in Oregon are permitted on site without additional requirements. 

    Food carts from out of state will need to apply for a $136 temporary restaurant license. 

    Nonprofits and other benevolent societies can apply for a free temporary restaurant license as long as food is prepared the day of, and the license is applied for at least 2 weeks before the event.

  • Yes! We upgraded our system in March and now will have speeds of up to 500 Mbps down and 20-25 Mbps up.

  • No, we require renters to provide their own phones in case of emergency.

  • Your rental period ends per the contract agreement end time.

    The Grange is situated in a neighborhood and quiet hours begin at 10 pm (Fri/Sat) or 9 pm (Sun-Thrus). We will come and shut down your event if you violate the noise ordinance. For all day rentals, please begin winding down your party around 9 pm and be sure to leave time in your rental period for clean up. You and your belongings must be out of the building by 11 pm and the building must be ready to be inspected. 

  • Penalties may be incurred based on level of contract violation. 

  • We all know that serving alcohol at events can lead to trouble, therefore we require the following: 

    Host Liquor Liability Insurance: All private and public events involving alcohol will need Host Liquor Liability Insurance in addition to the Event Insurance, renter must obtain host liquor liability coverage in the amount of no less that $1,000,000 naming Rockford Grange #501 and Westside Fire District as additional insureds.

    Special Event License from the OLCC 

    REQUIRED: All Events where alcohol is available (but not being sold), and you are charging or accepting donations for admission, or where payment is required to attend the event. Get a license.

    Local Government Recommendation – Special Events License

    NOT NEEDED: All Events where you are making alcohol available, but there is no payment or purchase required, and no donations of money are accepted, for alcohol, or for entry/admission, or for any other product or service. An example is a wedding reception where you make alcohol available, but you don't require payment or purchase and don't accept donations of money.​

  • It’s in our interest to have happy renters, so please respect us and our neighbors and we will respect you. 

    Minor violations will receive their rental deposit minus damages, nuisance fees, or additional hours past agreed rental time. 

    Major violations will result in being banned from future rentals, insurance policy claims against your insurance, and possible legal action if behavior warrants such extreme measures. 

  • Absolutely not. All smoking is only permitted on the southeast corner 25 ft from the door of the grange on the gravel surface. Use the tan cigarette receptacle to dispose of cigarette butts. Smoking on the bench or picnic table area is a fire hazard.

  • Absolutely not.

  • Renters must obtain liability insurance and provide Rockford Grange #501 with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Rockford Grange #501 and Westside Fire District as additional insured for liability and property damage coverage in the amount of $1,000,000.

    You can add us to your existing home, renter or business liability insurance policy, or you can get a short term policy of your choice.

    Don’t forget to include Host Liquor Liability Insurance if you plan on having alcohol on site.

  • Yes, and we’ll show you where those are during the pre-event walk-through. We request that you don’t use the kitchen cleaning supplies for the other spaces.

Book Your Event

Considerations before you book:

  1. Add up your total booking time by including setup and cleanup time. Big events should budget for at least 1 hour of clean up.

  2. Have a photo of your State issued ID or driver’s license ready. We’ll request a copy when you book.

  3. We won’t charge you for your booking until after your event, but we do require a $500 Security Deposit, to be applied to rental fees, with remainder returned if applicable. You can pay with a credit card, debit card, or with Paypal through our booking platform.

  4. Paying the deposit does not guarantee your event. We will follow up to collect the proper insurance liability forms and signature. Your Certificate of Liability Insurance for the event will need to be received within 14 days of booking or your deposit will be refunded and your event will be cancelled.

  5. Classes/Workshops/Meeting Rates are only applicable for those who book at least 4 occurrences in a calendar year.

  6. If you’re planning on serving food, we request it is only done downstairs in the dining room/kitchen area or outside. Otherwise we assess an additional $200 cleaning fee for renting the upstairs only when food is involved. This fee is already included in the “Grange Hall Upstairs Only (Main Hall) with Food” booking cost.

  7. If you do not wish to share the space with another renter, please book the full building.

  8. If the time you wish to book is unavailable, please email sales@rockfordgrange.net and ask to be placed on the waiting list.

  9. You’ll be asked to agree to our terms. Without agreeing to the terms, there is no ability to book. Terms are found here.
